De Centrale
De Centrale (DC) embraces the opportunities of the industrial environment of the Overamstel area and adds an unprecedented new quality to the location: DC brings urbanity, life and new energy to a place that does not (yet) have this.
The mixed use building of 20.000m2 maximises the symbiosis between the various programme components of creative studios, ateliers, restaurant, club and hotel aimed at long-term stays.
DC is not known as a hotel, but as a city in itself, where temporary living, working and recreation flow smoothly into one another. The building will operate as an incubator and will function as a catalyst in the development of the Overamstel area to a vibrant part of the city. DC is not aiming for 'tourists', but 'temporary residents' of our city: De Centrale.
