Together with the 32 future residents, Raumplan is co-designing a collective residential building in Centrumeiland, Amsterdam. The future residents have influence on the facade design and the spatial layout of the building, which includes a collective space for the residents. The project is characterised by a rich typology of homes with great spatial quality. The group as high sustainability ambitions, which results in spacious, green outdoor spaces and very low energy demands.

THE FEELING OF HOME

How do you want to live in your house? Together with the 32 future residents, Raumplan is co-designing a collective residential building in Centrumeiland, Amsterdam. The future residents design their own interior and collective facade in a set of workshops. The results is a qualitative building with 32 unique apartments.
The project is characterized by a rich mix of typologies. One of the types is designed as an enfilade plan. By connecting a set of rooms of similar proportions the house can be used in multiple ways. Creating a home tailored to changing needs in the future.
